Baker Exhibits Sculpture

Professor Allison Baker exhibits a sculpture called “Unyielding Shapes: An Exhibition of Women in Contemporary Cast Iron” at Franconia in the City @ Casket. Her project aims to reflect the strength, artistry, and perseverance of female metal casters. This is located at Casket Arts Community Complex at 1781 Jefferson St. NE in Northeast Minneapolis.

The exhibit will be open during the following times:
Friday, May 11 from 6-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 12 from 12-5 p.m.
Friday, May 25 from 6-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 26 from 12-5 p.m.
Friday, June 1 from 6-9 p.m.
Saturday, June 2 from 12-5 p.m.

The exhibition was also featured as a part of Art-a-Whirl weekend. Franconia in the City @ Casket celebrated the Art-a-Whirl with an all-female cast iron exhibition, live iron pour, Friday night parade, food, and music for three days of family-friendly fun.
