Hamline Robotics Team Competes over the weekend

Hamline's Women in Science and Engineering club competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Community Challenge on September 22-24, 2017. Hamline's team was comprised of five student; Elizabeth Gregorio '18, Ela Engen '18, Megan Brennan '19, Kylie Russell '19 and Ian Russman '20. The Hamline Team is mentored by Bruce Bolon, associate professor and chair of the Physics Department. All teams were challenged to design and build a legal competition robot and compete against one another.

The Qbitz FTC Challenge aims to give students opportunities to engage in exciting, collaborative design and build activities spanning multiple technical disciplines. The competition was hosted by Lakeville South High School's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Academy. In the coming weeks, the Hamline team will host the students from Lakeville as they tour campus and learn more about Hamline science programs and student life.
