Darwitz Honored in U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame

Natalie Darwitz, head Hamline women’s hockey coach and three-time Olympic medalist, has been selected for the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Darwitz was one of five people named for this honor by U.S.A. Hockey this year, and she will be officially inducted on Wednesday, December 12.

Hamline University welcomed Darwitz three years ago when she joined the Athletics Department as the head women’s hockey coach. In the 2017-18 season, she lead the team to win the MIAC postseason tournament for the first time in Hamline’s history and finish third at the NCAA tournament. Darwitz was also recognized as the NCAA DIII Women’s Hockey Coach of the Year and the USCHO.com D-III Women's National Coach of the Year.
