Biography

Amanda Roll-Kuhne is responsible for a number of initiatives that run out of the Provost's office, including the honors awards, and oversees communications from the Provost's office to the University community. She assists with university-wide projects including tenure, promotion, and emeritus process management; commencement eve planning; and the strategic planning taskforce. Most recently, Amanda was an active member of the team engaged in the university's efforts to earn Higher Learning Commission (HLC) re-accreditation including writing the report and hosting the visiting team of peer evaluators.

Amanda earned her B.A. from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Cambridge, and an M.A. in English from the University of Minnesota. She has taught high school and college literature and writing classes both in the UK and at the University of Minnesota, and served in academic advisor and student services roles. Prior to joining Hamline University in 2006, she was an assistant registrar at Walden University, an online for-profit university with academic offices in Minneapolis.
