Biography

Gaith Hijazin | MBA: is a Cultural Studies Instructor, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region whose primary responsibility is to develop and teach courses for undergraduates students from the (MENA) region in the areas of Student leadership, Diversity and Inclusion, and cross-cultural awareness. In addition Gaith will be in charge of creating coordinating summer conferences as well as the staff adviser for (RHA) Residential Housing Association, (ISO) International Student Organization and (HIGSA)Hamline International Graduate student Organization Gaith earned a B.A. in Business Administration in Leadership Management from Saint John's University, an MBA in Conflict Management From Hamline University, and currently is working on his Masters in Nonprofit Management with a concentration on NGO work.

He has held leadership positions in the Residential Life programs for the past 8 years. In addition to his student affairs work, Gaith has also taught student development theory courses that focus on social identity. He has regularly monitored media and research from leading think tanks on the ever-changing socio-political, cultural, and security situation across the globe, particularly the Middle East and North Africa region. Gaith facilitated short and long term workshops and discussions and analyzed the impact of existing and proposed policies on supporting the Arab student population. In addition to his role as the Area Coordinator Residential Life, Gaith is holding an executive role in UMR-ACUHO (The Upper Midwest Region-Association of College and University Housing Officers). He also serves as a board member on the Young advisory committee for the Sanneh Foundation.
