    Social-Emotional Learning Summer Institute
    Breaking the Trance: Strategies for Combating Recreational Screen Dependence
    June 20–21, 2017
    8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

    Features two days of exploration into best practices for working with individuals who have atypical neurology or learning styles, during which featured presenters George Lynn and Cynthia Johnson, authors of Breaking the Trance: A Practical Guide for Parenting the Screen-Dependent Child, will discuss strategies for combating media-screen overuse in the home and classroom.

    An opportunity for parents to gather together and converse among themselves and with featured presenters George Lynn and Cynthia Johnson about how chronic recreational screen use impacts children's developmental progress at home and in school and best practices for curbing dependence.

    27th Annual Summer Literacy Institute
    Our Stories Matter: Making Sense of the World
    July 10–13, 2017
    8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.


    Features over 30 breakout sessions covering a variety of literacy topics, during which participants can connect with other educational professionals and lend their voice to the multitude of conversations surrounding one of the most topical aspects of education today.
