• College Admission Counseling Certificate Curriculum

    Required Courses: (12 credits) 
    complete in 3 semesters, course can be taken in any order

    • EDUC 7201: Fundamentals of Counseling the College Bound Student (4 credits) 
      • Offered Fall semester
    • EDUC 7202: Understanding the College Admission Process (4 credits) 
      • Offered Spring semester
    • EDUC 7203: Career Development and Assessment (4 credits) 
      • Offered Summer Semester
    *Required curriculum for students starting the certificate in Fall 2019. If you started earlier, contact gcs@hamline.edu for assistance. The number of required credits did not change.

    Optional Practicum (4 credits)

    • EDUC 7206: Practicum in College Counseling (4 credits)

    Hamline's College Admission Counseling Certificate may be applied to fulfill electives for Hamline's Master of Arts in Education (MAEd), Master of Arts in Education: Natural Science and Environmental Education, or Master of Arts in Literacy Education.
