• What Are Clickers?

With student response technology, an instructor can immediately gather real-time feedback of course material. Students engage using a ResponseCard NXT clicker to select from a set of multiple choice options. Instructors can then display a chart of the aggregate student responses. As results display, students can see where their comprehension level compares to others and instructors can adapt their teaching in class.

    TurningPoint Services and Products

Our current student response system (clickers) vendor, Turning Technologies, has polling technology for a variety of both PC and Mac applications. Currently, an evaluation of this vendor is underway to support Cloud-based technology, which would enhance the learning experience for both students and faculty. An announcement will be made mid-Spring 2016 to release information regarding potential new vendors and/or new student response systems software applications available to the University. Today, faculty can still download the TurningPoint 5 software from the Software Center.

TurningPoint Anywhere works on any application (Mac or PC), PDF documents, Mac Keynote presentations, web pages, any interactive whiteboard, and Respondus. TurningPoint Anywhere is NOT installed across the Hamline campus but can easily be launched from the TurningPoint website, or from a flash drive.

Faculty Members can get an Instructor Kit using the  Turning Instructor Kit Request form

(You must be logged to your Hamline Google account to access the form)
