    A very well-recommended link database. This site is key for finding the best sites in every field. 

    PBS: History

    Features websites in high quality for various PBS historical programs. Sites are geared towards promoting the programs, but have extensive reference material. 

    BBC: History

    The BBC History site focuses on extensive articles and outside links to provide historical reference. The site focuses on the Western World, primarily Britain. 

    Latin American Network Information Center (LANIC)

    This comprehensive Latin American Information site covers everything, and has a very extensive history link database. Many sites linked on this page are in Spanish.

    Bush Library

    Hamline University's Bush Library is a necessary resource for all students. 

    James Ford Bell Library

    This University of Minnesota library is geared towards the history of trade and the importance of trade in history. 

    The John Carter Brown Library

    A collection of American primary sources previous to 1825 at Brown University. 

    Royal Historical Society

    A database of historical writings on British and Irish history from the Roman period to the present day. 

    ViVa: Women's History

    A bibliography database of women’s history articles from all over the world, dating from 1975 to the present. 

    Historical Associations

    Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies

    The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) - a nonprofit, non-political, scholarly society - is the leading private organization in the world dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about the former Soviet Union (including Eurasia) and Eastern and Central Europe. 

     American Historical Association

    The American Historical Association is a resource for professional historians focusing on finding jobs, publications, and doctorate programs.  

    Minnesota History

    Minnesota Historical Society and The History Center

    The Minnesota Historical Society is a must-see for any history student studying in Minnesota, and the History Center in the Twin Cities is a valuable resource for those studying Minnesota history. 

    The Ramsey County Historical Society

    RCHS is a non-profit historical society that publishes the Ramsey County History Magazine, maintains historical sites in Ramsey county, and acts as the official historical society for the county.

    Minnesota History Quarterly

    A publication of the Minnesota Historical Society, this is a key resource to the study of Minnesota history.

    This Day in History

    The History Channel's "This Day in History" page: a great page for facts, interesting tidbits, and other fun things.
