    Young Writers Workshop

Hamline Young Writers Workshop gives high school students who are passionate about creative writing a chance to explore the craft, prepare for college, connect with other young writers in the Twin Cities, and work closely with Hamline Creative Writing faculty and published authors on the beautiful Hamline University campus.

    At camp you will:

    • Spend each day working with a published author on poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, or college essay writing.
    • Take courses to learn more about creative writing topics or prepare for college essays.
    • Explore our “Literary Twin Cities” on a field trip.
    • Ask questions and hear from published authors about literary study and careers.
    • Gain confidence by participating in a reading.
