    • Current MFA student Jessica Lind Peterson won the 2020 Deborah Tall Lyric Essay Book Prize from Seneca Review Books for her book Living Room Horses. The book is due out in November of 2020 and includes a book release reading at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and a $2,000 prize.
    • The University of Louisville honored Hamline MFA alum Gary Smith with its Award for Innovative Writing for his short story, “The Red Bus to San Pedro.” The story appears in issue #13 of the university's online journal, Miracle Monocle. Check it out.
    • MFA alum Nina Adel won the Bellevue Literary Review for CNF Award for her essay “Refugere” and her essay “Porcupine Quills” has been published by Moria Magazine. You can read it here.
    • MFA alum Mary Harpin's debut poetry collection Shadowrise from Dos Madres Press is out now.
    • Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind Them All by MFAC faculty Laura Ruby received a glowing review from the New York Times. Read it here.
    • MFAC faculty member Brandy Colbert received a starred review from Kirkus for her middle grade novel The Only Black Girls in Town. Read it here.
