    what ann has to say:

Study abroad has been such an incredible experience so far. This past weekend I was in Barcelona and saw all of Gaudi's work. The interior of Sagrada Familia blew me away. I absolutely loved that experience.

I've had a chance to see the David here in Florence twice so far as well as works at the Uffizi (I loved seeing The Birth of Venus and Primavera). I had a field trip to the Bargello museum recently to see Donatello's David. On my walk home I passed a small courtyard with a Dante bust and some other pieces relating to Dante on the walls.

Two weekends ago I was in Rome-the School of Athens, the Sistine Chapel ceiling, Laocoon, and Saint Peter's Basilica, and the Pantheon were all very surreal to see. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have so much first hand experience with all this iconic art. Florence was the perfect fit for me. Next weekend I am visiting Portugal, Sevilla, Spain and Madrid. I also have a trip to the Amalfi coast soon where I will stop in Pompeii and I have a trip to Cinque Terre. I am excited to continue soaking in all the art and history Europe has to offer!

I hope all is well back in Minnesota!
