Volleyball duplicates results on day two of Superior tournament

Hamline opened play today with a 3-1 (26-24, 15-25, 25-19, 25-19) defeat of Northland. Match details are still come.

They finished the day, and the tournament, dropping a straight set match (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) to MIAC foe St. Catherine University in a non-conference contest.

In the tournament finale, Tasha Simmons (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) continued to attack in double-digits, totaling 15 kills and coming up with 15 digs.

Heidi Larsen (Jr., Andover, Minn.) led defensively with 29 digs. Jenni Burns (Sr., LeSeuer, Minn.) and Jackie Kelly (Blaine, Minn.) had 11 digs apiece.

The Pipers are now at 5-3 overall. They will open MIAC play and their home season on Wednesday, September 16, by hosting Saint Benedict at 7:00 p.m.
