Dear Notabenieri
When the note-taking file first appeared in Ibidem (several
incarnations ago of NB), I was able to name the file myself and store
it where I wished. I used a file called "Revs" (for reviews), and
used the note-taking file to write summaries and reviews of various
articles and books whose records I had stored in Ibidem. There was no
linking feature as there is now in NB8. Now when a note-taking file
is generated, it is given an indexed name by NB and saved in a
predetermined folder. What I am looking for is a quick and easy way
of reorganising earlier note-taking files, so as to use the linking
feature. Do I have to manually create a new note-taking file (to
which NB will will assign an indexed name), and then copy the
contents of my older note-taking files into the newly created one (if
you know what I mean!!)? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
John
