Ibidem: Creating New Records in subset

I am using the latest iteration of Nota Bene (z). I make use of subsets.
Within the context of a subset, I used to be able to create a new record.
Now when I try to do such a thing, Ibidem just redisplays one of the
existing subset entries. If I go back to redisplaying the entire database I
will find a blank listing, which will then allow me to create the entry. Any
clue as to what might be going on? Why can't a create a new record within
the subset?
