RE: Footnotes and Formatting

Elizabeth,

I am using SWS 8.0x and perhaps am about to describe a problem that is not
the same as yours.  When editing a manuscript within a CMS framework I
sometimes am faced with an array of strange bold-face symbols in a red box,
which look like commands and appear in front of or at both ends of a first
level heading.  I find I can erase them and all is well but they are among
the gremlins that make me very nervous. :-)
