yes, I've had trouble, of late, with 'reply'; my preferred settings
include being able to read any messages I send (i.e., using listproc's
'ack' rather than 'noack' setting), but for some reason that seems not
to have worked for a while; also, any attempts to communicate with the
listproc server have been very slow. Last night (GMT) I tried to reset
to my preferred options, and I seem to have succeeded. It's been
frustrating to reply speedily to an enquiry, not see my reply, then
watch as the conversation proceeds and it becomes apparent that my
contribution has not been received.
One thing I've wanted to be able to do -- and which this message
attempts -- was to use Gmail's feature whereby you can reply from an
alternative (i.e., non-Gmail) address. I have wondered whether this
has been behind some of my recent problems, as the headers indicate
that, ultimately, such replies originate from Gmail's servers rather
than the address they purport to be from, and this may be interpreted
as 'spoofing'.
