the first problem you outline is pretty standard, especially when you are
cloning an entry--using an existing record (with an author's name) to create a
new one. The old record will be displayed in the main ibidem screen, and the
new record in the text entry box. When you search again on the author's name,
the new record will then appear. I haven't found this a problem.
