Ibidem annoyances

Just a few quick questions whether some of you can recreate some bugs for me:
1: Sometimes I wonder if a particular item is already part of mybibliography in ibidem, 
so I run a quick author search, then see thatthe item is not yet in there, so i click on 
this "add new record"button. When I do this, I get a new record added, but the screen 
doesnot jump to it. Instead, I have to return to the all items view, thengo to the end 
where I find a new empty record, where I can then typein the information.
2:
Is it supposed to be that way? I find it a bit annoying.
