Non NB - any file-viewer programs out there?

I've been following the note-taker Orbis-for-students 
threads, and thought I would ask for a program I need.

I have about 1000 files in TXT, RTF, PDF and TIF to view, 
and I would love a file viewer that can "see" all of them.

I use FileSee 4.7, but it is slow, and doesn't display 
multi-page JPGs very efficiently.

Any suggestions?
