It could well be that the issue lies in the "spread" of text you have set up Orbis to search for. If you want to search for "notabene version," Orbis will automatically assume the "and" in between the two words. That's one issue. The other is the length of the text unit it will search the terms for: sentence, paragraph, entire file, etc. Thus, if you are set up to search by sentence, and you wish to find instances of both "notabene" and "version" but "notabene" appears in one sentence and "version" in another, there will be no yield.


One easy way to find out is to search for "notabene" or "version." If you get any hits, it's likely that the type of linguistic unit you set up is not able to capture both terms. If this theory is wrong, or if you believe there is something else afoot, you can always re-index the db and see where that takes you. If you need to change the setup structure, you can do that instead.
