RE: F8 toggle between text and comand line

Bob--
I think there is some deep mystery of spiritual orientation here. On
the one hand are those who enjoyed the convenience of using one finger
to switch between the command line and the screen, and, having had it
taken away from them for no stated reason, and an empty slot left where
it was, take up arms against a sea of programmers and restore it. Yes,
true, in some future version, perhaps 6.9 or 7.2, that slot will be used
for something else, but as it is now, it is empty and calling for
restoration of the one finger toggle.
On the other hand are those who believe the Great Dragonfly has taken
this convenience away from us for Its own shadowy purpose and has put
given us a three-fingered toggle for our own good, even though we might
not see it. Perhaps this is why the Prophets Stephen and Anne are
silent about this, indicating the depth of the GD's purposes. Why
should we, Prometheus-like, dare to take Olympian matters in our own
mortal hands and restore the old one-fingered way of toggling?
This may not answer your question, but, indeed, is there any explanation
for such mysteries?

Well, could you not put in on F8 in your keyboard file? Mary B. taught
me
how to do it this week with a command that uses F8 to switch between two
windows. F8 right now is empty, so you could put whatever you wanted
there.

Bob.
