Ibidem: disappaering field contents

Dear helpers out there,

Suddenly today, my ibidem went a little haywire. When entereing text
into the database, the cursor disappears in some abyss within the field.
When i type text into the field the text is not visible until i move the
cursor to the next field. Which is really a major annoyance when you
can't see what you are typing.

So far I have tried playing with the view options dialog, changing the
font sizes and this little box with the plus and minus numbers.
Furthermore, I have tried to reset to original values. No joy so far.

Does anyone have some further suggestions, or even a cure? I am
relatively new to NB, so there might be something I have not gotten yet.

I run WinXP Pro, LWS 6.1.
