You will have those programs I mentioned (4DOS or 4NT) only if you
purchased them and installed them (from JP software:
http://www.jpsoft.com/).  For the DOS prompt, click on your start menu
button, go to "programs", then to "accessories" then click on "command
prompt" at which time a "dos box" (smaller window, black background, with
a "C:\[some directory, possibly]\" prompt in it) will appear.
