Louis
I'm a v. impatient person, and twiddling my thumbs is my idea of how to
have a bad time.
This problem, I believe, is magnified in your eyes because of your very
legitimate financial concerns. Also, it does take some time for people to
type a response.
I do know it takes time to type a response. But it's not my financial
concerns that make me impatient. I'm impatient unless I'm doing something
every moment. My email usually takes 30-60 seconds to download, and waiting
for it bugs me, so I get up and do something else! But that's just me - and
a reason why *I* wouldn't spend much time in online conversation (since you
dislike the word chat - with good reason, I agree).
The documentation for the changes in codes is in bits and pieces here and
there, but there is a list of the codes that work in NB Win on Rick's
website - I put it there a couple of years ago.
Almost all code is the same. A few codes were (annoyingly) given new
meanings, AR among them. It's now AZ (autoreplace). And the OV code that
was introduced in NB4 no longer works at all. But many programs that used
OV can be rewritten just by replacing OVxx with XX. For instance, OVdw
(define word) can be replaced by DW (input with pfunc dw).
At some point I hope to produce a slightly edited version of Tony Woozley's
xpl guide - NOT an updated version, but one with things removed that worked
in NB4 and don't in NBWin - and with the codes list added. But time is
limited, so....
Best wishes
Mary
