Re: Mark editing location in a file

Bob,
You're "looking for Mark in all the wrong places. ..." In the old days of DOS and grainy TV, you would create a label window on the desired spot in the doc and you would enter some annotation that next time, after searching for its text, would take you there. In the days of Windows and High Definition TV, the instrument you seek -- new to the Win version of NB -- is Annotations. Nine different annotation windows are available -- each one leaves a different little icon as a visual clue on the screen -- to enter some text in the doc's desired location (save the doc). Next time, click on Edit, Go To (or Ctl-G), select Annotation, click on next. You'll be taken to the first available Annotation window, from which you can cruise to the next Annotation of any type or specifically of the type you chose for your little note.

Back in the old DOS days one could mark the location where you were editing a document so that when you opened it up the next time you could return to that point easily, rather than having to scroll through the document looking for it.

I can't find this anymore in NBWin, and I can't seem to locate it in the help files.

Has it "gone missing" or have I simply mislaid it?

Bob.
