Other issue:
When I have so many e-mails
(currently over 1500 accumulated mostly from NOTABENE LIST simply I cannot
discard away), I would like to save time in managing them by merging them into
one file. Then I can open up in NB or other word processor and
erasing unneeded portion of the text but keeping useful bits of ideas and
information. (Actually I would do this editing on the printouts first and
scan to mark those text portion to retain and then go back to the file on the
word processor. The print-out should have no page breaks bewteen the
component e-mails.)
I do remember file
concoction feature in DOS and (possibly in XyWrite DOS). Can
any one kindly help me about how to do this under Windows OS or in Window-based
Word Processors?
Note: Word has Master
Document feature where you can merge one file after another into one.
However this is impossible taking time and effort to work on a mountain of
e-mails I have to deal with. The problem is to find a way of doing
the merging a batch of files in one scoop. Also I would need a macro to
remove section and page breaks.
Thanks,
Wish Happy New Year to All
NBers.
