Yes this is one way, but when one has a book-length manuscript it is
very annoying to insert the soft hyphens for - let's say 250 pages - at
the end of the work. I do this while writing, editing, correcting the
chapters.
Anyway: Thank you for the answers. They have helped me to see
that it is not my fault but a feature (bug or feature ...) of the program.
All the best wishes for 2002 to all the subscribers of this list - the
condicio sine qua non for really working with NB!
