Cantillation marks encoding

Dear NBers,
A colleague of mine, who does not work on NB, is looking for a
searchable bible (old testament) with the cantillation marks in it. The
problem with the formats that he knows is that the same mark may have
different encodings if it has different forms under different letters,
so he cannot easily search for a particular mark.
I have some questions:
1.Does the NB bible encode these marks as single codes (variations being
only a runtime feature)?
2. Are these codes searchable with an editor.
3. Are they sequentially ordered on the table of codes (which one?), so
that they can easily be defined as a group (like a-z,A-Z, 1-9).
Thanks
Roni
