Re: simple in-text citation, anthologies, etc.
I sympathise -- there doesn't seem to be a straightforward way to do this, and
I consider it something of a Nota Bene blind spot (most of us will have
wanted/needed to do this at some time or another).
A workaround is to make your citation in the file, then go to Ibidem and from
the pull-down list at the upper right of your screen select 'WORKS CITED
(active document)', then select 'Generate', then 'Bibliography', then generate
a bibliography that matches your preferences. From this, you can then copy as
normal text the item(s) you require.
If you're making research notes and using one file per work, then your 'active
document' bibliography will be only one item, but even if you're citing lots of
works the bibliography generation process is very fast.
