amount to 7146 records (instead of making heavy use of the ANNOTATION field
I prefer ORBIS).  I faintly remember having had a similar problem. I suggest
a cure similar to that Mervyn suggested the other day (his mail should be in
the Hamline Archives for NB):

Have safe backups of all of your datafiles (on diskettes, CDs, tape - not
only on your HDs) - even before you might want to take a look at them in
NB's word processor, Show Codes Mode.

Remove the LIBROS database and delete all connected files with Explorer.
Create a new LIBROS db with a single entry. Use Append Records to include
your old entries (preferably from a duplicate of your safe backups). Let
IBIDEM do its indexing etc. See what happens.
