I use your first alternative, except preface it by "Review of..." (w/o "").

Article Title: Review of Douglas Farrow, _Ascension and ecclesia: on the 
significance of the doctrine of
the ascension for ecclesiology and Christian cosmology_ (Edinburgh: T. &
T. Clark, 1999)

But I don't put the single quotation marks in the field as you have below.

I find this works fine.
