Disappearing format markers

I am having a problem with disappearing format markers.  Even if I am
working in the "display framework markers" view I cannot see any
framework markers.  Also--delta do not show up in the other views.
Sometimes I can open the same file and can see the markers.  I can see
the codes in "show codes" view.  Does anyone have any idea what might be

going on.

I am also having an occasional problem with the program shutting down
and when I start it up again I have an error message "too many drop
lists."  It doesn't work for me to use the program that unloads excess
dlls after a shut down.  That makes the whole thing freeze up and I have

to reboot.  I usually have to reboot to make the "too many drop lists"
go away any way.

Any help would be vastly appreciated.
