Very off topic question

Hello,
First, I apologize to the group is my asking an off-topic question offends 
anyone. I am wrestling with something and am
seeking wisdom beyond my own to aid and guide me.
Second, here is the question: If you had a technology which allowed you to know 
how individuals thought, how would you
use it?

Note that the question is "...know HOW...", not "...know WHAT..."

Assume this technology could perform this task without asking any questions, 
without being intrusive or interfering in
any way (the individuals would never know the technology was active), and could 
be 75-90% accurate within 10-30 seconds
of being activated. The longer it is active the more accurate it would become. 
Further, assume this technology could be
applied to a standard PC or a car or a toy or anything without altering the 
functioning of whatever it was applied to.
