What printer are you using?

Subject: printing weirdness in 4.5
No matter what I do, I cannot set the default in my NB 4.5 for portrait
printing; unless I issue a PB 31 command at the head of each and every
file, I get landscape printing.
I submitted this problem to this list ages ago (well over a year) at a
time when it was subsidiary to a more major problem (an inability to
print long files without crashing the program completely -- which I
eventually realized was a memory problem -- or probably actually a lack
of space on the hard drive). I thought they were connected b/c they
appeared at the same time, but I have (thanks to the help of this list)
just set up NB 4.5 on my new computer, which is replete with RAM, empty
hard drive space etc. and can now print even the longest academic file
without any problem (so long as I remember to begin w/ PB 31) so they
clearly aren't connected.
I should add that my configuration of 4.5 is identical to what it was on
the old computer -- I just zipped it up and ftp'd it over and unzipped
it.
I was on Windows 95, and am now on 2000 Pro, fwiw.
Anyone have a clue what I should be doing?
Thanks!
