  I have had relatively few crashes with NB, at least compared to the bad
old days when it crashed many many times per day. I have used it on three
different machines - a laptop (pentium 130, 48Mb Ram, Win 95), my home PC
(pentium 450, 64 Mb ram, win 98) and my office PC (pentium 400?, 64MB ram,
Win 98) - and have few problems with it.
  I have said this before on the list, but I will repeat it -- if you are
experiencing many, many crashes, you might try running scandisk after
unloading the DLLs from your memory. 18months ago someone at NB tech
support recommonded this to me; when I have done it, scandisk usually
finds something wrong on the disk and fixes it. Evidently when it crashes,
it leaves detris on the drive which causes further crashes. I have no idea
why it would do this, since other programs don't seem to do so, but NB is
unique in many ways.
