Greek RTF filter crisis
Friends,
on Oct 30th Anne Putnam wrote to the list:
"The news from NB-NY is that our programmers are currently working on adding
Hebrew and Greek functionality to the RTF filter. In fact, having some
mechanism for converting Hebrew, Greek and Cyrillic was one of our primary
reasons for creating an RTF filter. With the huge task of developing the
basic RTF filter behind us, adding the Hebrew and Greek (and then Cyrillic)
is something we hope to finish soon. Our goal is to have this complete in
time for the Annual Meetings of the Society of Biblical Literature and the
American Academy of Religion November 18 - 21."
I am *urgently* waiting for this, as my publisher - Reclam - is unable to
handle NB Lingua Greek as it is, and need the Greek text in convertable
format *by the end of this year (2000)*. Has anyone heard anything from
NB-NY about this announcement since? To my surprise, neither Tech. Suppt.
nor Anne have replied to e-mails which I sent them some while ago.
Many thanks
Kai
