Fritz,
I echo your sentiments about Microsoft Word (and MS products generally)
and the tendency to deny choice to the user. Hell, I'm a control freak
who won't stand being controlled, even by Mr. Gates.
As to being able to copy the laid out bibligraphic item in Ibidem's
preview window -- I may be wrong here -- but that preview, I believe,
is an image, not real, manipulable text that you could copy and paste.
If I'm right, it may help to relieve you of some frustration.
