Ttyy this, which should be done anyway; this is a Dorothy 
Day fix, and it is important and useful:

There must be a line in NBCUSTOM.SET which reads

DR=C:\

Make sure that it is the only line starting DR=

Either modify the one that is there if there is none, or 
insert it if there is nothing.

Rationale: this ensures that NB will always, but ALWAYS, 
find its overflow files no matter what the default 
directory is at any moment.

When you've done this, search for a file called

@nbdata.tmp (I think that's the correct name...!!!! Can 
someone confirm?)

You should not be able to find one if you do the search 
from within NB - it's the temporary file which might exist 
if you go into DOS.

Also, make sure that you have no PRINT.TMP files to et in 
the way.

Maybe.... just maybe!!!
