In answer to the query, I chiefly use NBW with my office machine, a Dell
that uses Windows 95 with a Pentium II processor.  But the same sort of
problems occur when I take work home and use it on another Dell Pentium II,
a faster on, and with Windows 98 with the latest updates.  Oddly, shortly
after the sound prompt for spelling stopped working with the office machine,
when I took a file home to work on it in NBW, the spelling sound prompt that
had not been working at home, started working and continues to work.
