Dear all,

I have a memory of there being a utility that will restore one's Win9x desktop after changing screen resolution.  My kids use games that demand a different resolution than my usual one and the desktop icons are always moved around.  I've looked in several file collections but don't seem to be able to find such a utility.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Microsoft used to distribute a set of utilities under the name Powertoys.  One of them allowed realtime adjustment of the display characteristics.  I've forgotten its name, but it's built into Win98 (at least the version on my computer).  Powertoys was free (and may still be--I haven't checked lately).
