Oh, one other favorite thing about FmEdit:
viewer/editor for text files. With the left
half of screen as tree and file-list, put cursor
on a text file and the right half of the screen
becomes a text editor.

Another option, which I use instead of Windows Explorer,
is FmEdit. My favorite features are easy toggling between
single and dual views, a pull-down list for getting to
favorite folders quickly, and good zip-file management.
There's also a hex editor, viewers for all kinds of graphics
files, an html viewer (I think it's actually an editor--
don't use it for that myself), and a viewer for MS-Office
documents and spreadsheets (see caveats on the web page).
An MS-DOS button that provides a quicker substitute for
the MS Command Prompt Here Powertoy worked flawlessly in
version 2.4 but seems to be broken in version 3.0, which
is brand new; but the programmer may fix this.
There's a free version; you pay $25 for the registered version.
