The DJ882C is listed as 2MB standard (no added memory supported),
with a 48KB receive buffer. Since 2MB is far more that the memory of
many Lingua-compatible printers, it ought to be adequate. The Lingua
warning is for printers with much less built-in memory.

For used or remaindered laserjets, the discontinued HP6L has 1MB
standard (9MB max).  It's recent enough that you should have no trouble
finding memory modules for that from most memory chip vendors.
