Thanks to Mark Szuchman for his detailed and encouraging report on the
Windows version of NB. His suspicion that the final version will not
come with printed manuals has now been confirmed to me by the gentleman
at NB who took my request by phone for the prerelease version. He
stated, moreover, that there are no plans to offer printed manuals even
after the release of the final version. That is a bit of a
disappointment for me.

Mark, can you tell us whether the Windows version can use the stable of
XPL workhorse utilities that we've accumulated over the years?
