1) I suspect it is a laptop problem. I have never experienced a difficulty in
getting the backslash in my Dos window.
2) You asked where to find a tree directory in W95, not in the Dos window
thereof. I cannot get a tree directory in the Dos window, but you can get one
in W95 itself. If you right click on the Start button, then go up to Explore
and click on that it provides a tree-like display in the left-hand column of all
your directories and subdirectories. You have to click on the little plus marks
to display all the ramifications of the tree.
