NBWin in prerelease edition (only for Scholars workstation - not Lingua)
was sold at the American Academy of Religion/Society Biblical Lit Annual
Mtg in Orlando, FL in end November so some folks this side of the pond
will have copies. I have one in hand but have a hardware problem or two
to straighten out before installing it. I asked NB/NYC Tech if there
were known problems and two were mentioned: 1) it can't customize the
formatting of foot/endnotes & 2) docs in academic styles can't convert
to Windows -they're workin' on it....which means we hearty and loyal
souls will wait...again. For me, its always been worth the wait. Anybody
out there have NBWin up and running?
On the many printer questions I see here, I have gone through several
printers over the years (I started with NB3.0 in 1987) and initially
tried to devise solutions myself. But the last several times with
HP67something/CanonBJC70/CanonBJC80/and an EpsonActionlaser1000 I went
to NB/NYC for help because these printers did not have Lingua capable
drivers. NB/NYC made whatever adjustments -sometimes just giving me the
solution over the phone..another time I sent them a disk of the driver I
was using, they tweaked it and I installed the file and bingo I was off
and running.
A question. This is my first time on a list and with re to SPAM and
UCE..what is the proper response? Just ditch it? Does anybody on the
list try to control it? Thanks.
