Re: NB 4.5 and W98

I'm replying to Dorothy Day's very helpful message (thanks, Dorothy),
but this e-mail system doesn't let me quote messages. (In fact, I just
changed my subscription to my other address, which lets me quote and
edit, etc., but I'll stay on for a few days at this address, too, in
case anyone else replies to my queries).
  The Notabene tech support person had me try printing the way Dorothy
suggested (copying to lpt1) and nothing happened (or, actually, everything
froze, just as it had when I tried printing directly from NB 4.5 using
the regular print commands).  We checked the port settings and spooling
settings and I made the appropriate adjustments.  The ECC/EPP stuff
rings a bell and he may not have suggested I check or change that.
I'll print out Dorothy's message (since I also can't read it while
I'm replying) and make sure I've checked everything she mentioned.
   I'm glad to hear that the printing problems don't seem to be
intrinsic to using Dell for DOS programs, as the NB rep. suggested
