Re: NB 4.5 and W98

I was just on the phone with Nota Bene in NY for over an hour (on my
dime, of course) trying to figure out why the NB 4.5 upgrade that I
just installed won't print with my Deskjet 540.  The nice man I spoke
to suggested a few possibilities to get it to work with NB 4.5
running in DOS, which is how I just set it up, but nothing has
worked yet. We're going to speak again on Monday and he'll check
out a few things. But the scary part was that he said he'd heard
of problems with Dell computers running DOS programs (and my
of problems with Dell computers running DOS programs (and both my
new home and my new university computers are Dells).  He couldn't
guarantee that I'd ever be able to print in Nota Bene for DOS.
I still haven't tried to install NB 4.5 for DOS to run under Windows,
but may (and it would be Win 98 at home and Win 95 at my office).
   But before I pursue this, I'm wondering if anyone has had or
heard of any problems running NB 4.5 (or even an earlier version)
with a Dell desktop, especially trying to run it as a DOS program.
   Since I used to be able to print with my HP Vectra and my
HP Deskjet in NB 3.0 (until I got this new computer a week or so
ago), I am at least hoping that if all else fails I can install
NB 3.0 at home and at my office and be able to print.
   I appreciate all the advice given so far re: the printing
problem on this list, some of which I've tried, and some of which
