Hamline Bookstore Announces Spring Hours 

The Hamline University Bookstore will be open on a schedule of extended
hours for the start of the spring semester. From Monday, January 30
through Tuesday, February 14th the Bookstore will be open weekdays from
9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Normal hours will resume on Wednesday, February 15th and will be:
Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hours will vary over the spring break period.

Admission Possible is Hiring!

It's that time of year again:  Admission Possible is looking to hire
lots of
talented, idealist people and we need your help!  Please forward this

the
lives of low-income students by helping them earn admission to college.
 We
get our best candidates from your referrals, so please take a moment
to
think of people who might be interested in changing the world-or other
people who might know of such people.  Most often, our applicants are
recent
college graduates or current seniors looking for work starting next
fall.

We will be hiring more than 30 new AmeriCorps and VISTA members to
start in

Adult Basic Education - Literacy Assistant - Intake/Assessment

PT; year-round; 230 days; 28.5 hours/wk; 4 days (M, T, Th, F), 1
evening (W)/wk.  Must be available to work Wednesday evenings and Monday
and Friday mornings.  This person will be responsible for providing
orientation and administering assessments to new and current adult
students enrolling in Adult Basic Education and English as a Second
Language classes at our Columbia Heights location.  Minimum
qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent; strong communication
and organizational skills; proven ability to use computers; ability to
be flexible and work as team member in busy environment; experience
working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations, ability to
work well with volunteers.  Preferred skills: experience in an ESL or
ABE academic program, experience working with adults.  Starting rate:
