Volunteer Opportunities

Computer Lab Assistant
Help adult ESL students learn basic computer skills. Work with a
licensed
teacher. M, T, Th, or F mornings in Uptown area, or M evenings in
North
Mpls.

ESL Classroom Assistant
Assist a licensed teacher in an adult ESL classroom. Daytime and
evening
positions in in Uptown, North Mpls, and Prospect Park (near U of M)

Literacy Class Assistant
Assist a licensed teacher in an classroom for adults to advance their
basic
reading skills. M,T, W, or Th mornings. 1250 West Broadway, Mpls.

Resume-writing and Job Search Help
Assist ESL and GED students during open computer-lab time.
5:30-6:30 PM, Uptown or North Mpls school.

Champlin Park High School is going to be hiring a full-time ESL
paraprofessional.  The individual will be supporting students in
classes
to help them access the content.  The position is to be filled as soon
 as possible.  The position is 7:30 - 2:30, Monday - Friday and
follows
the school year schedule.

Details of the required qualifications can be found in the posting. 
The
posting will be going up on the Anoka-Hennepin website tomorrow,
 December 22, 2005.
